Pay: £12.71 per hour
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday (Term Time Only)
Hours: 3:30pm-5:30pm (Blackburn), 4:00-6:00pm (Rishton)
Contract Type: Permanent
Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and friendly School Cleaner to join our commercial cleaning team. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout a primary school, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Duties & Responsibilities
- General cleaning (dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitising)
- Cleaning classrooms, toilets, corridors, offices, and communal areas
- Emptying bins and replenishing consumables
- Reporting any issues or damages to your supervisor
- Maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies
- Following health & safety procedures and COSHH guidelines
- Ensuring the school is left clean, tidy, and secure at the end of each shift
Requirements
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Friendly, trustworthy, and professional attitude
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Previous commercial or school cleaning experience
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to undergo one)
