You’ll be joining a close-knit team in Wolverhampton, where people look out for each other, standards are taken seriously, and everyone pulls together to get the job done right. You’ll be a key part of the shop floor team, machining precision aerospace components and taking ownership of your work from start to finish.
As a Manual/CNC Grinder, you will:
- Set and operate manual cylindrical grinders (S20 / RM250)
- Set and runn CNC grinding machines (Studer S33 / S31)
- Grind exotic and hardened materials
- Work to very tight tolerances (down to 0.00005”)
- Carry out first-off inspection and completing quality paperwork
- Run multiple machines or processes when needed
- Take responsibility for quality as a self-certified operator (stamp holder)
To be considered for this role, here's what you'll typically bring:
- Time-served apprentice (essential)
- Solid experience in cylindrical grinding
- Background in manual and/or CNC grinding (Studer experience ideal)
- Comfortable working in aerospace or high-spec engineering environments
- Good all-round knowledge of machining methods, tooling, and materials
- Confident using inspection equipment and working to tight tolerances
- Someone who’s reliable, takes ownership, and is always looking to do the job right
Security Clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
