Raymond James Caravans is one of the UK’s leading caravan and motorhome dealerships, based in Atherstone (CV9 1JE). We operate an 8-acre award-winning site, featuring probably the UK’s largest indoor showroom, and we proudly stock new Coachman and Bailey caravans as well as Coachman Elddis and Bailey Motorhomes and Campervans.
We’re now looking for a motivated Assistant General Manager to support our leadership team, help drive caravan and motorhome sales, and ensure a first-class customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in all daily dealership operations, including sales, service, and admin.
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed caravan and motorhome sales targets.
- Confidently calculate part exchange and vehicle purchases correctly maximising profitability.
- Manage vehicle inventory, including purchasing, pricing, and display.
- Ensure the showroom and forecourt are always clean, organised, and welcoming.
- Support staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Handle customer escalations with professionalism and empathy.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns, open days, and promotional events.
- Oversee vehicle handovers and collections, ensuring a seamless process.
- Support the sales department in growing the motorhome business.
- Correctly manage and administer finance deals and paperwork.
- Organise the preparation of stock for sale this involves – parts order, rectification, valet, and display.
- Organise staff rota’s to ensure sufficient cover
- Work closely with Managers and Director for the continuing improvement of the business.
Key Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in caravan or motorhome sales is essential.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Ability to work well with fellow managers and employees.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Strong knowledge of dealership operations, finance, and stock management.
- Computer-literate with strong administrative accuracy.
- Passionate about customer satisfaction and achieving results.
- Full UK driving licence and ability to move vehicles on-site.
- Reliable, flexible, and comfortable with keyholder responsibilities.
