Our construction and site teams are at the heart of what we do, and we are now looking for a proactive and reliable Construction Administrative Assistant to join our team. The role is full time but part time hours would be considered.
The Role
As a Construction Administrative Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support to our construction and site management teams, helping to ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish. You will need to be confident working on your own initiative, using practical common sense to solve problems, and managing your workload independently while also being a supportive and collaborative member of the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate project files, drawings, and document control systems
- Process purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and other project documentation
- Assist with onboarding subcontractors and maintaining compliance, insurance, and accreditation records
- Update build programmes, snagging lists, progress trackers, and other project monitoring tools
- Support site managers with administrative tasks including permits, RAMS, and health & safety paperwork
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, customers, and internal departments to ensure smooth communication
- Provide general office support including answering calls, managing emails, and reception cover when required
- Take ownership of tasks, identifying issues early and resolving them using initiative and sound judgement
- Work both independently and collaboratively with the construction, site, and office teams
Skills & Experience
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and use initiative confidently
- Practical common sense and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general administrative systems
- Previous construction administration experience is beneficial but not essential
