Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Competition Coach to support students in preparing for mathematics competitions such as MAT/TMUA/STEP. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging tutoring sessions, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring students to excel in mathematics. Responsibilities
- Deliver specialised weekly tutoring sessions focused on mathematics competition topics to students of varying ages and abilities.
- Develop customised lesson plans that cater to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Foster a supportive and motivating environment that encourages student participation and confidence in mathematics.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to both students and parents or guardians.
- Organise practice competitions and activities that simulate real contest conditions.
- Collaborate with other educators or programme coordinators to enhance the overall coaching programme.
- Maintain organised records of attendance, progress, and curriculum materials.
- Support students with special educational needs by adapting teaching methods accordingly.
- Following up on after-class services, continuously collecting user feedback, and communicating with various departments to improve user experience and enhance user retention.
Requirements
- Degree in mathematics from Top University.
- Proven experience in Maths competition such as MAT/TMUA/STEP.
- Experience tutoring or teaching, particularly in mathematics or related subjects.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Passionate about education, mathematics, and inspiring young minds.
- Organised with the ability to plan engaging lessons tailored to diverse student abilities.
- Ability to motivate students and foster a positive learning environment.
