Job description
We’re on hunt for passionate and energetic “Cafe Assistant Manager” who love working in hospitality and want to grow with our company, with career progression options available for the right person.
We're looking for someone RELIABLE with a cheery disposition and friendly manner to assist and run day to day business as well lead small team.
The right candidate must have attention to detail, be capable of taking initiative and working in a busy atmosphere. You should have work experience with various roles in coffee shops. Creativity and "can do" attitude is a must.
Responsibilities
- Approach - Maintain an enthusiastic, engaged, and passionate approach to food and great service, with the ability to cope under pressure. Set an example and maintain a good working atmosphere.
- Floor - Day to day operation of the café and managing the floor.
- Training and Coaching - Support in training all staff to the highest standard, particularly in customer service standards and ensure your staff does the same. Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients.
- Teamwork and communication - Emphasise the importance of teamwork and encourage initiative among the team.
- Organising rotas - front of house
- Recruitment - Hire and onboard new staff members and baristas
- Stock management - Order from suppliers, stock replenished and maintained front and back of house.
- Menu - Full understand and knowledge of menu. Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers preferences.
- Health & safety - Comply with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards set out by the law and by the company.And understanding of allergens.
- Cleanliness - Ensure the Café maintains the highest levels of cleanliness.
- Equipment - Maintain all equipment (iPads, Fridges, coffee machine, ...) and report breakages.
- Wastage and stock rotation - Monitor and record all wastage.
- Administration & Reporting - Updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses
- Updating the daily P&L and other sales KPl's
Requirements:
- Barista skill (preferred)
- Proven management experience in the hospitality industry or ready to move up
- Strong business acumen.
- Excellent organised and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
- Great spoken and written English
- Good in computer skill
- Additional certification in business administration or hospitality is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £24,000.00-£31,000.00 per year (depending on working pattern)

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- First-Line Managers: 1 years (preferred)

Starting immediately after passing assessment on Full-Time basis.
