Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, and weed control to keep grounds pristine.
- Operate and maintain power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers efficiently and safely.
- Use hand tools for detailed gardening work and general grounds upkeep.
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of outdoor areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Utilize construction experience when necessary for minor repairs or landscape modifications.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for larger landscaping projects or ground preparation tasks.
- Perform regular maintenance on equipment to ensure longevity and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects involving construction or major grounds improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment used, and materials applied to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture with a strong understanding of plant care and outdoor aesthetics.
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, irrigation systems, and construction equipment such as excavators.
- Familiarity with hand tools used in gardening and groundskeeping tasks.
- Prior construction experience is advantageous for executing minor repairs or modifications on-site.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintenance records and safety procedures.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions including standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
