Due to continued growth, CT Garage Aberdeen Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable Vehicle Mechanic / Technician to join our busy workshop in Portlethen.
We are an established independent garage working on a wide variety of makes and models. Our workshop carries out everything from routine servicing and mechanical repairs through to diagnostics, fault finding and more involved repair work.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can work confidently on their own initiative and wants to become a valued long-term member of our team.
The Role
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Vehicle servicing and general maintenance
- MOT preparation and repairs
- Brakes, suspension, steering and wheel bearing repairs
- Clutch and flywheel replacement
- Timing belt and timing chain replacement
- Engine and cooling system repairs
- Diagnostic fault finding and electrical investigation
- Using modern diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults
- Carrying out vehicle health checks and identifying required or recommended repairs
- Accurately reporting findings and additional work required
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and workshop cleanliness
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate should:
- Have good previous experience working as a vehicle mechanic/technician
- Be competent carrying out mechanical repairs independently
- Have good diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
- Have a strong understanding of modern vehicle systems
- Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
- Be reliable, organised and punctual
- Have good attention to detail
- Work well both independently and as part of a team
- Hold a full UK driving licence
Relevant qualifications are preferred; however, practical experience, ability and quality of workmanship are equally important to us.
