Public Sector Legal Recruitment Consultant – Birmingham
Venn Group is growing its Birmingham office, and we’re looking for ambitious, driven individuals to join our established Public Sector Legal recruitment team.
Based in Birmingham City Centre, our Public Sector Legal Division is widely recognised as a market leader, with an established reputation, exclusive partnerships and a proven track record of success.
You’ll join a team that plays a vital role in keeping essential public services running, connecting Local Authorities, Universities, Police Authorities and Government Departments with high-calibre legal professionals across the UK.

What will you be doing?
As a Public Sector Legal Recruitment Consultant, you’ll build relationships with clients and candidates while becoming a specialist in the public sector legal market.
Your role will include:
- Building and managing relationships with Local Authorities, Government Bodies and public sector organisations
- Sourcing, interviewing and placing high-calibre legal professionals into interim roles
- Developing new business opportunities and strengthening existing partnerships
- Managing the recruitment process from initial briefing through to placement
- Building and maintaining your own candidate and client network
- Becoming a recognised market expert in Public Sector Legal recruitment
- Working towards achievable targets and earning uncapped commission

About you
We’re looking for someone who is ambitious, driven and resilient, with the determination to build a successful and financially rewarding career in recruitment.
You’ll ideally be graduate calibre with at least 1–2 years’ full-time work experience and be motivated by success, progression and personal development.

Previous experience in recruitment, sales or another client-facing role is advantageous, but not essential.
