Dental Receptionist – One Smile Dental, Chard
4 days per week | Part-time or Full-time | Permanent
Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday and Friday
At One Smile Dental, we are looking for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Dental Receptionist to become the welcoming face of our practice in Chard.
As the first person our patients see and speak to, you’ll play a key role in creating a warm, professional and positive experience. You’ll be joining a supportive and busy team where every day is different and no two patients are the same.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Greeting patients with warmth and professionalism
- Managing the appointment system (dentally) and maintaining accurate patient records
- Answering telephone calls, responding to emails and dealing with general enquiries
- Booking, confirming and rescheduling appointments
- Managing patient check-in and check-out
- Taking payments and processing NHS and private treatment plans
- Supporting clinicians with day-to-day administrative tasks
- Helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the reception desk
- Assisting with patient flow and general practice administration
- Providing occasional back-office support when required
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and confident when communicating with patients
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Reliable and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
- Professional, positive and patient-focused
- A great team player with a willingness to learn
- Comfortable using computers and digital systems
Previous dental or healthcare reception experience is desirable, but not essential. We are happy to provide training for the right person.
