As Marketing Officer (Future Students), you will join the Arts and Humanities Future Students Marketing team, working closely with academic colleagues and professional services teams across the University. The role plays a vital part in delivering high‑quality, engaging marketing activity that supports targeted, insight-led student recruitment activity in a competitive and fast paced environment.
You will develop and deliver impactful strategic and tactical activity to support the Future Students marketing strategy, whilst managing a diverse portfolio of subjects for postgraduate audiences. You will lead and support key projects, campaigns and events across the full postgraduate student recruitment journey that help prospective students make informed choices about their future at Manchester Met.
The Future Students marketing team are responsible for all future students marketing activity and plans. The team work cross-university and across the other areas of marketing to align marketing strategy, implement creative and impactful plans to support priorities. This role is part of the Arts and Humanities subject team who own and manage the relationship between faculties and marketing and are the subject matter marketing experts. You will be expected to work closely with other teams including Recruitment and Admissions, and marketing teams across Campaigns and International, sharing expertise and best practice.
What you'll do
Working as part of the Arts and Humanities Future Students Marketing team, you will support and deliver marketing activity that underpins recruitment, engagement and conversion.
You will:
- Deliver and optimise integrated marketing campaigns that support recruitment, engagement and conversion across your subject portfolio
- Develop and implement marketing plans and strategies, ensuring activity aligns with University objectives and Faculty priorities
- Lead key marketing projects and campaigns, managing timelines, stakeholders and delivery to achieve measurable outcomes
- Create and oversee high-quality content and marketing materials, ensuring consistency with brand, audience needs and market insight
- Drive digital activity across channels including paid media, search, web and social, using performance data to continually improve results
- Work collaboratively with academic and professional services colleagues, acting as a trusted marketing partner for your subject areas
- Analyse campaign performance and market insight, providing recommendations to enhance future activity and maximise return on investment
- Line manage and support the development of a Marketing Assistant
Who we're looking for
You will be an outward looking, forward-thinking marketing professional with a career background in marketing, project management and content production and experience in incorporating best practice and opportunities for innovation into strategic plans.
You will bring:
- Strong marketing expertise across integrated campaigns, digital channels (SEO, PPC, social, email), and content production
- Proven ability to plan, manage and deliver complex marketing projects, working to deadlines and strategic objectives
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to create engaging content and present insights to varied audiences
- Effective stakeholder management and collaboration, building strong relationships across teams and functions
- Data-driven approach with the ability to analyse performance, generate insights, and optimise marketing activity
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, demonstrating initiative, sound judgement, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
