Job Description: A lovely client based in Stirling, Scotland is seeking a highly organised Housekeeper / House Manager to oversee the day-to-day care and management of a private residence. This is a hands-on role, combining high standards of housekeeping with the coordination of household maintenance and trusted supplier relationships to ensure the property is always presented to an exceptional standard and ready for use.
The property is a beautifully maintained, recently renovated, private residence in Scotland, occupied
periodically by the owners. As the property is not occupied on a permanent basis, the successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the property and grounds remain clean, well-maintained to an exceptional standard throughout the year, and properly cared for between visits, as well as fully prepared and welcoming
ahead of the owners' arrival at any time.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Maintaining the entire property to a consistently high standard, including dusting, hoovering and cleaning all flooring types, even when the house is unoccupied
- Managing laundry, bed linen and bedrooms to keep them fresh between the Principal's visits
- Keeping windows clean, arranging professional window cleaners where needed, and caring for household plants
- Cleaning and maintaining fireplaces and stoves, including ash removal, and managing waste and recycling
- Preparing the home ahead of the Principal's visits, including shopping and stocking up in advance
- Overseeing the smooth day to day running of the property, spotting and resolving maintenance issues promptly
- Liaising with and coordinating trusted tradespeople and suppliers, including window cleaners, firewood suppliers, oil replacement, electricians, plumbers, boiler maintenance, roofers, painters, broadband and pest control
- Arranging appointments and property access, overseeing works to ensure completion to the highest standard
- Carrying out pre-arrival food shopping and monitoring stocks of cleaning products, toiletries and household supplies
- Checking heating, lighting and household systems are working and set correctly, and regularly inspecting the property during unoccupied periods
Requirements:

- Excellent housekeeping skills
- Ability to work independently
- Great communication skills
- Within a commutable distance to Stirling, Scotland
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 1pm
Salary Offered: £20 - £25 gross per hour
