Grounded Dating is on a mission to combat the dating crisis. We're an affordable, human-led matchmaking service for intentional singles who are done with swiping and ready for something real. Our clients pay us for a personalised introduction to someone aligned with their preferences, values, and morals — not an algorithm's best guess, but a match we've actually found and vetted ourselves. Where our immediate network can't provide the right fit, that's where you come in. You're the hustle behind the scenes, out finding real people in the real world, so our clients never lose hope that the right match is out there.
The role
We're looking for someone outgoing and observant to scout potential matches out in the real world — at bars, events, classes, social clubs, and other "hotspots" — and report back daily. This is a pure sourcing role: you're spotting and noting interesting people, not screening, approaching with an agenda, or making any matchmaking decisions yourself.
This role starts as temporary, but we're actively looking to bring the right people onto the team permanently. If you add value, there's a genuine path to a longer-term role at Grounded.
What you'll do
- Spend time at agreed hotspots (venues, events, classes, meetups — either your own suggestions or ones we ask you to check out)
- Take note of individuals who seem like strong potential candidates for our pool (based on general guidance we'll give you — e.g. age range, vibe, location)
- Submit a short daily report listing:
- Who you scouted (name + any identifying/contact detail you're able to note, e.g. Instagram handle)
- Where you scouted them (venue/event name, area, time of day)
- A one-line impression, if useful
- No need to approach, pitch, or explain Grounded to anyone — this is observational sourcing only
Who we're looking for
- Natural socialite
- Observant and good at reading people quickly
- Reliable with daily reporting; organised enough to keep clean notes
- London-based, ideally with existing familiarity with different social scenes/areas
Structure & pay
£13-15 per hour. Temporary, flexible, paid per scouting session/day.
Strong performers will be considered for a permanent position on the team.
