Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring efficient service delivery
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
- Prepare ingredients and dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction
- Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and place orders as needed
- Train new team members on food preparation techniques and safety protocols
- Support the development of new menu items in collaboration with the culinary team
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or hospitality environment
- Strong background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
- Excellent team management and leadership skills to motivate staff effectively
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
