Our housekeeping team plays a vital role in keeping our home safe, comfortable, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors. The Housekeeping team is essential to the smooth running of our home.
30-hours a week.
We are also looking for bank staff to be support our existing team to cover holiday and sickness.
Shifts are 8am- 2pm and 2pm -8pm
Pay £ 12.75 -£ 13.75 per hour
Holiday entitlement is accrued based on the numbers of hours worked and paid, rather than as a fixed annual allowance.
Our Domestic and Laundry assistants are part of the housekeeping team and responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day maintenance and cleaning of resident rooms and communal areas in the care home is kept clean, tidy and presentable. They ensure that all residents personal laundry is laundered and returned to rooms and ensure that linen stock levels and maintained and made available for the care and nursing team and as per Optima Care groups quality standards.
Responsible for:
- Receiving daily instruction from the duty manager undertaking tasks as directed.
- Cleaning all common areas. Tidying duties such as vacuum cleaning, carpet washing, damp and dry dusting, polishing, and washing of paintwork; cleaning of internal window glass surfaces in accordance with task list and room service list.
- Is responsible for wiping down and sanitising all surfaces as necessary, including furniture & equipment. Treating and dealing spills as necessary.
- Is responsible for the daily tidy and weekly cleaning of resident room’s en-suite and bathrooms within the care home as assigned.
- Washing, drying and ironing residents personal clothing, separating appropriately and ensuring clothing is returned to the correct resident
- Maintaining a steady supply of clean bedding and towels.
- The promotion of infection control methods as per Optima Care policy & procedures & company quality standards. Including the use of personal protective equipment provided.
- Reports defects and actively maintains a healthy and safe environment in the home
- Undertaking other housekeeping duties as necessary / directed.
