Overview
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our 2026 Mechatronics Apprenticeship programme. This paid apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop essential skills in within a dynamic industrial environment. Responsibilities
- Assemble crushing and screening equipment following engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Fit and install mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components safely and accurately.
- Conduct functional and quality checks to verify operational efficiency and compliance with standards.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment effectively and safely.
- Learn to diagnose and rectify assembly faults, liaising proactively with engineering and quality teams.
- Follow health and safety regulations and help maintain a clean, organised, and inclusive work environment.
- Support the achievement of production deadlines while upholding high workmanship standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other departments (e.g., quality, PDI, stores, engineering) to identify and drive process improvements.
- Participate fully in training and development activities to broaden technical knowledge and skills.
Development & Learning
- Receive structured support and mentoring to apply your college learning in a real-world setting.
- Develop skills in diagnosing faults, problem-solving, and process improvement.
- Gain awareness of wider business functions to understand how engineering integrates with the full product lifecycle.
Skills
- Enrolled on a relevant Higher Level Apprenticeship in engineering.
- Strong interest in mechanical assembly and engineering.
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and contribute to team success.
- Ability to read or develop the skills to interpret engineering drawings.
- Commitment to health, safety, and maintaining an inclusive, respectful workplace.
Please Note - We recognise that studies will not commence until September 2026. To help successful candidates gain valuable practical experience and become familiar with the business, we will offer summer employment opportunities prior to the start of the programme.
Please note that this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the programme.
