We are in an exciting growth period, and we need someone who is hard working and reliable to help us over the next few months.
Job Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hard-working person to join us as an ice cream production operator. You will play a key part of our ice cream start-up, working closely with the founder and being involved in all aspects of ice cream production, packaging of the finished products and preparation for shipping.
This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and great hand-eye coordination, as well as the ability to work on your feet all day. Previous experience in a professional kitchen/food manufacturing site is required.
We are looking for a permanent team member who is adaptable, willing to get involved where needed, and keen to grow with the company.
Typical hours Monday - Thursday 09:00 - 17:00, there may be additional availability initially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing ingredients according to specific recipes and formulas
- Operating production equipment, ensuring proper functioning and maintenance
- Hand-making some elements of the products
- Packaging finished products for storage and distribution
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the production area
- Following all food safety protocols and adhering to HACCP guidelines
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen/food manufacturing site
- Great hand-eye coordination
- Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients accurately
- A passion for food and genuine interest
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining top quality standards
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Understanding of food hygiene and high cleanliness standards
- Ability to be on your feet all day
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification - training can be provided for the right person
