About the role
RGP Trans Ltd is looking for a reliable and professional self-employed van driver to join our busy same-day courier operation.
You will drive a company-provided Luton van with a tail lift, completing deliveries throughout London and across the UK. The work includes same-day, long-distance and occasional multi-drop deliveries.
We guarantee a minimum of 40 hours of work per week. Working days are normally a minimum of 10 hours, so applicants must be flexible and comfortable with early starts, late finishes and occasional longer journeys.

Main responsibilities
- Collecting and delivering goods safely and on time
- Driving throughout London and across the UK
- Operating a Luton van and tail lift safely
- Loading, securing and unloading goods
- Taking collection and delivery photographs
- Obtaining signatures and submitting proof of delivery promptly
- Providing professional customer service
- Keeping the vehicle clean and reporting any problems
- Communicating delays or delivery issues immediately
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- No more than six penalty points
- Applicants must meet our vehicle insurer’s minimum age requirement of 25
- Good spoken and written English
- Confident using a smartphone and delivery applications
- Physically fit and comfortable handling goods
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Flexible regarding working hours and long-distance journeys
- Good knowledge of UK roads and confidence driving in London
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively
- Must live in or close to Dunstable
Luton van and tail-lift experience would be ideal, although applications from experienced commercial van drivers will also be considered.
This is a self-employed driver opportunity. The successful applicant will be responsible for their own tax, National Insurance and invoicing.
