The Role
Exciting times at New Place Hotel, we are seeing incredible growth in our events business and we're looking for a new coordinator to join a small but mighty team.
You will be looking after people from first point of enquiry to completion of every event detail. We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented person who will enjoy being a part of special events and conferences. From weddings and anniversaries to corporate meetings and team building or family fun days. As an Event Coordinator, you will be the point person at the hotel, responsible for planning, organising, and executing various events. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Duties:
- Plan and coordinate all different events such as conferences, weddings, private bookings
- Manage daily enquiries and load onto Rezlynx PMS
- Submit proposals within specified time limits
- Carry out showround’s for clients of the hotel as required
- Research and prepare information for appointments ahead of time
- Produce function sheets outlining requirements for fourth coming events
- Support with proactive sales targeting new business
- Develop event timelines and budgets to ensure all tasks are completed within deadlines and financial constraints
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
Working hours are mostly in line with office hours, with some weekend working and occasional evening appointments.
