Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Support clients in adhering to their personalized care plans, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being is prioritized
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Help with light household tasks including meal preparation, light cleaning, and medication reminders
- Maintain clear communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care delivery
- Use IT tools and care management systems to document care activities accurately and efficiently
- Drive clients safely to appointments or outings when required, ensuring adherence to road safety standards
Skills
- Valid driving license with experience in safe driving practices
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care services
- Knowledge of creating and following care plans tailored to individual needs
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Proficiency with IT systems used for documentation and reporting purposes
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with diverse individuals
- Good understanding of health and safety protocols relevant to caregiving environments
