Financial Markets Department covers both trading book and banking book activities for Bank of China London Branch and Bank of China (UK) Limited. As a Data Analyst Financial Markets - Mandarin Speaking, you will be supporting the Sales team in delivering a wide range of financial products and services to clients. You play an important role in the department’s success by managing key operational and administrative functions. This is a full time permanent position.
Key responsibilities

Be responsible for data reconciliation and facilitate interaction with relevant internal departments and Head Office

Prepare high-quality data information regarding customer performance and market trends for both internal strategic use and external reporting

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all database enquiries from the Sales team and the Department

Assist in monitoring and analysing departmental KPIs

Monitor Counterparty Credit Risk and market risk indicators

Prepare presentations and various reporting for other departments and Management

Contribute to cross-departmental projects, managing internal and external liaison to ensure successful project delivery

Proactively identify and implement enhancements to working processes to drive efficiency and productivity

Ensure all operational activities strictly adhere to the Bank’s internal guidelines, regulatory policies and procedures
Requirements

Degree educated in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or other relevant subject

Relevant experience in the Financial Services, ideally in Banking

Knowledge and familiarity with market data sources, such as Bloomberg and Reuters
-
Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills

Excellent data analytical skills

Proficient in MS Office, particularly in the use of Excel and PowerPoint
