Strength in Numbers Gym (SIN Gym) is a small group personal training facility based at Sedgley Park Rugby Club in Manchester. We're not a big-box gym: we're a tight-knit coaching community where results, relationships, and quality of coaching genuinely matter. Every session is intentional, every member is known by name, and every coach plays a real part in shaping what we do.
The Role
We're looking for a passionate and experienced SGPT Coach to join our team and deliver high-quality small group personal training sessions across our weekly timetable. You'll be coaching members at all stages of their fitness journey, building genuine relationships and helping people get consistent, meaningful results.
This is a hands-on coaching role. Your primary focus will be on delivering excellent sessions, but as you settle in you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to member retention, community events, and the wider life of the gym.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering SGPT, Sweat, Engine Room, and Hybrid sessions across the weekly timetable
- Coaching members individually within group settings: tracking progress and adapting sessions accordingly
- Building strong relationships with members to support retention and results
- Helping maintain the standards, cleanliness, and presentation of the facility
- Contributing to the gym's community culture: events, social content, and day-to-day atmosphere
- Collaborating with the wider coaching team on programming and member experience
What We're Looking For
- A recognised personal training or fitness coaching qualification (Level 3 minimum)
- Experience delivering group or SGPT sessions
- A coaching style that's energetic, encouraging, and technically sharp
- Strong people skills: you genuinely enjoy getting to know members and building trust
- Reliable, professional, and a team player
- Passion for strength and conditioning, and a commitment to your own development
What You'll Get
- Starting salary of £18,000 (part-time), with a clear pathway to full-time employment and a higher salary within 12 months
- Monthly one-to-ones with management
- Annual pay review every March
- A supportive, experienced team with over a decade of coaching behind them
- A role where your work genuinely matters to real people
