Market Square Surgery is a friendly, patient-focused GP practice committed to delivering high-quality primary care services to our local community. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Qualified Practice Nurse to join our supportive clinical team.
The successful candidate will provide nursing services to our patient population, working collaboratively with GPs, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
- Chronic disease management (including diabetes, asthma, COPD, and hypertension)
- Cervical cytology screening
- Immunisations and vaccinations
- Wound care and dressings
- Travel health advice and vaccinations
- Health promotion and lifestyle advice
- NHS health checks
- Infection prevention and control activities
- Supporting patients with long-term conditions
- Maintaining accurate clinical records
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse (NMC Registered)
- Previous experience working within General Practice or Primary Care
- Competent in chronic disease management
- Experience undertaking cervical screening
- Experience administering vaccinations and immunisations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
