We are a busy, independent cafe in a beautiful location looking for a new team member. We serve amazing coffees, experience as a barista would be great but not essential, and delicious homemade food. Your role would cover all areas of the cafe, barista, food prep & service, till work and general assistance. The cafe is in a lovely location with views across the Wiltshire countryside.
Cafe Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation and cooking
- Take customer orders and handle cash transactions
- Serve food and beverages to customers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operation of the cafe
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
