We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual to join us in our busy dessert kitchen crafting delicious desserts, traybakes & cakes for our restaurant, outside catering and shop. The successful candidate will be required to manage all aspects of the dessert section. To be successful in this role you must be aware of standards of hygiene and cleanliness and have a passion for baking and learning. You must be able to work quickly and efficiently, managing your time well.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment.
· Production and decoration of traybakes and desserts for our restaurant, farm shop and catering orders.
· Following detailed recipes & methods.
· Ensuring their section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations.
Skills:
- Proven experience in a bakery kitchen, banqueting environment with a focus on food preparation and baking.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and baking processes.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff.
