Support Worker - Learning Disabilities (East Grinstead)
£90 flat for sleep
Day Wake night pay is £15.50 (inclusive of holiday pay)

This is a meaningful 2:1 role where you can genuinely see the impact of the support you provide.
About the Client
Supporting a male (16 yrs) based in East Grinstead, West Sussex and am seeking an agency who is able to provide consistent staffing team on a 2:1 basis within his home, with 2:1 support in the day, 1 waking and 1 sleep in staff at night.
Clinical Requirements
You will support the client with the specific clinical tasks outlined in their care plan. These may include:
- Nonverbal
- Restricted mobility requiring use of a wheelchair
- Cerebral Palsy
- Bilateral hearing loss with sensorineural component
- Significant learning disability
- Autistic type behaviours
- Behaviours which challenge, at times resulting in injury to his caregivers
- Repetitive nonfunctional behaviours
Full specialist training and competency sign-off are provided by our Clinical Team, so you do not need to have every skill listed to apply.
Shifts Available
Monday 15:30-09:30 (comprised of 22:00-06:00 1 sleep 1 wake night staff and 2:1 for all waking hours)
Thursday 15:30-09:30 (comprised of 22:00-06:00 1 sleep 1 wake night staff and 2:1 for all waking hours)
Saturday 09:00-09:30 (Sun) (comprised of 22:00-06:00 1 sleep 1 wake night staff and 2:1 for all waking hours)
In school holidays hours on Mon/Thurs are the same as Saturday hours.
This is working on a rota basis with another agency who currently cover 4 nights per week.
What the Role Involves
Delivering compassionate 2:1 support in the day, 1 waking and 1 sleep in staff at night.- Supporting with community access and social activities
- Promoting independence and dignity in all tasks
- Providing emotional reassurance and wellbeing support
- Communicating effectively with the clinical, care and coordination teams
Your presence will help the client feel safe, supported and in control of their daily routine.

- Strong communication and reliability
- Empathy, emotional intelligence, and person-centred values
- Ability to work independently and professionally
