Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structural issues efficiently and safely.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to accurately diagnose problems.
- Conduct welding repairs when necessary to fix or reinforce structural components.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage automated systems and troubleshoot related issues.
- Supervise junior maintenance staff or contractors during repair projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed.
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing maintenance requests from staff or management with a positive attitude.
- Lead small teams during maintenance projects or emergency repairs, demonstrating leadership skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in general maintenance work with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Electrical experience with the ability to interpret schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems effectively.
- Skilled in welding techniques for repairing metal structures or components.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automated systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration.
- Supervising experience or leadership qualities that enable guiding team members during projects or emergencies.
- Customer service mindset with a proactive approach to addressing facility needs promptly.
