We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Dog Walker & Dog Sitter to join our team and help care for the dogs in and around East Dulwich, London. This role is all about making sure each dog gets the exercise, attention and stimulation they need, whilst being responsible for their safety and welfare. Full training is paid for and provided all you need is a passion for learning and a love for dogs and a willingness to commit to this job for a minimum of a year but ideally with an interest in a permanent career with dogs.
Key Responsibilities:
-Walk a variety of dogs, ensuring they get the exercise, enrichment, and socialisation they need.
-Use appropriate leads and harnesses to maintain control and safety during walks.
-Monitor dogs for signs of illness or stress and report any concerns promptly.
-Keep pet owners updated with walk reports and photos.
-Provide basic care such as feeding or administering medication, if required when sitting dogs.
-Build strong relationships with both dogs and their humans through clear communication and care.
-Ensure all walking equipment is clean, safe, and ready to go.
Requirements:
-A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle suitable for transporting dogs, you must also be a confident driver and enjoy this aspect of the role.
-Friendly and professional communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
-A can-do attitude, willing and comfortable working alone but also as part of a close team and support each other.
-Experience in animal care or a veterinary environment is a plus, but not essential.
-A genuine passion for animals and a strong sense of responsibility.
-Good physical fitness — you’ll be handling multiple dogs and walking in all weather conditions.
