We celebrate successes, support each other, and work collaboratively to create safe, structured, and loving homes. As we open new homes in Leicestershire and Derbyshire, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead one of our newest residential settings.
The Role:
As Registered Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it meets Ofsted standards while promoting the wellbeing, safety, and development of children and young people. You will lead and inspire a small, passionate care team, creating a culture of warmth, consistency, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register as Manager with Ofsted and maintain compliance with all relevant legislation
- Lead, motivate, and develop the care team
- Ensure children receive the highest standard of care tailored to their needs
- Develop and oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies
- Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance
- Monitor and improve quality of care through audits, reviews, and feedback
- Liaise effectively with social workers, schools, healthcare providers, and other agencies
- Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and data protection standards
- Promote a nurturing environment that helps children feel safe, valued, and empowered
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior role within a children’s residential setting
- Strong understanding of Ofsted standards, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young people
- Ability to build trusting relationships with staff, children, families, and professionals
