Flexible Carer / Senior Carer
We are looking for a caring, reliable and flexible Carer to join our friendly residential care team in Banbury.
This role is primarily for a Care Assistant; however, applicants must also be confident in covering Senior Carer shifts when required. The ideal candidate will have experience within elderly or dementia care and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
You will play an important role in supporting residents with high-quality, person-centred care while helping maintain a safe, respectful and homely environment.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and daily support to residents
- Supporting residents with mobility, meals and companionship
- Promoting dignity, independence and person-centred care
- Completing care records and handovers accurately
- Administering medication and leading shifts when covering Senior duties
- Supporting and guiding junior care staff when required
- Following safeguarding, infection control and health & safety procedures
- Working flexibly to support the needs of the home
Requirements
- Experience working within a care home environment
- Experience supporting elderly residents and/or residents living with dementia
- Medication administration experience preferred
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care preferred
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, compassionate and professional approach
- Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends where required
- Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK, as sponsorship is not available for this position
