Join us at The Forum Theatre, home of NK Theatre Arts, as a Casual Theatre Technician.
You’ll become part of our in-house Technical Team, supporting a wide range of productions — from our own in house musicals and plays to visiting shows including local dance schools, live bands, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, set up, and operate stage lighting and sound equipment
- Support live performances and events as part of the technical team
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety procedures
- Operate and maintain theatre flying systems (Hemp)
- Work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members
- Manage time effectively to meet production deadlines
Essential Experience & Skills
- Experience with Yamaha QL5 and Sennheiser microphones
- Experience with Chamsys consoles.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures relating to stage operations
- Experience in supporting public performances as a technician
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work without supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Training can be given to the right candidate on internal procedures and lighting systems.
