Overview
We are seeking a motivated and versatile Fencer/Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to fencing projects, site preparation, and general labour tasks across various construction sites. As a key team member, you will play a vital role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in every project. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to develop a broad skill set in construction trades.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of fences using hand tools and power tools
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
- Support carpentry, roofing, masonry, and other trades as needed to ensure project progress
- Operate fabrication equipment for custom fencing or structural components
- Perform general labour duties including lifting, digging, mixing materials, and site cleanup
- Follow safety protocols diligently and report any hazards or incidents immediately
- Assist with plumbing, electrical work, or painting tasks under supervision to broaden skill development
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or labouring roles is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
- Familiarity with carpentry, roofing, masonry, welding, or electrical work is advantageous
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented approach to work tasks
