We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Commis Chef to join our team at The Hardwick Inn — a busy, independently run country inn with a strong reputation for quality, consistency, and classic British pub food done well.
Set in the heart of a beautiful country park, we offer a fast-paced but rewarding kitchen environment where no two days are the same. You’ll be working with fresh ingredients, a skilled team of chefs, and a management team that values both high standards and a good work-life balance.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years’ experience in a commercial kitchen
- Confident across all sections, ideally with experience in high-volume service
- A passion for classic British cooking and pub-style dishes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Attention to detail, cleanliness, and consistency in service
- A positive attitude and a proactive approach to prep, service, and organisation
