As a warehouse supervisor, you will oversee daily operations in the facility. Your role is crucial to meet productivity targets and maintain customer satisfaction. You ensure efficient processes and procedures are followed. Attention to detail, energy and strong housekeeping standards create a safe and organized warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials.
- Monitoring and enforcing compliance with company policies and safety regulations to ensure the safety of all warehouse and production employees.
- Managing inventory, which includes maintaining accurate records, conducting cycle counts, and resolving any discrepancies all within the company’s MIS system.
- Effectively plan and allocate resources in order to meet daily operational requirements, maximising productivity and minimizing downtime.
- Work together with other departments, such as production and customer services to effectively manage and prioritise incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Consistently seek out opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and decrease costs.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with quality standards.
- Prepare and analyse reports on warehouse operations, including productivity, inventory levels, and shipping/receiving accuracy, providing recommendations for improvement.
Warehouse Supervisor Required Skills
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software to track and manage inventory, shipments, and productivity metrics.
- Good working knowledge of the logistical and administrative details of post-Brexit customs procedures. For goods both entering and leaving the UK.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills to identify and resolve operational challenges promptly.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and operational requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and demands.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse data and identify trends to drive continuous improvement.
- RTIITB Licence, plus ideally Reach Licence
- Valid & Clean UK Driving Licence
Pay: £26,000.00-£28,500.00 per year
