We're on the hunt for an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at The Dog House in Gillingham.
The Dog House is an established village pub at the heart of the local community, serving relaxed, ingredient-led Modern British food alongside great drinks and warm, genuine hospitality. Our menus are built around the best seasonal produce from local suppliers, creating food that's honest, generous and full of flavour.

The Opportunity
Working alongside the pub directors, you'll have the opportunity to:
Lead the kitchen team and oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations
Create and develop seasonal Modern British menus using the very best local ingredients
Mentor and develop the kitchen brigade
Build relationships with local farmers, growers and suppliers
Champion butchery, fish preparation, stocks, sauces and classic cookery techniques
Drive fermentation, pickling, preserving and low-waste kitchen practices
Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, hygiene and service
Who We're Looking For
An experienced Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
Passionate about Modern British food and seasonal produce
A strong leader who inspires and develops their team
Calm, organised and reliable under pressure
Proud of producing consistently excellent food
