We are looking for a hard-working, enthusiastic, motivated individual with an attention to detail to join our production team manufacturing flexible flue liners.
We have availability on our late shift; 12.30- 20.00hrs
We have 5 production machines, all producing flexible flue liner of various sizes and applications. Whilst the machines have a start/ stop control panel, the value a machine operator brings is ensuring the machines are running correctly and the product produced is to our standard. Our machines require constant monitoring and at times alteration.
Areas of Responsibility
· Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
· Ensure assigned machine whilst operational is running at all times
· Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
· Develop skills to repair and reconfigure machines as per production requirements
· Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
· Inspect parts with precision and ensure product produced meets all QC measures
· Test operation of machines periodically
· Fix issues that might occur during the shift
· Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
· Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
· Correct labelling and identifying of produced products
· Correct locating of produced products
· Maintain activity logs
Requirements and Skills
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment
· Proven experience as a machine operator
· Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools
· Understanding of production procedures
· Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
· Analytical skills
· Attention to detail
· Concentration
· Ability to act quickly when a problem arises
· Teamwork and communication skills
· Physical stamina and strength
· Proficiency with hand tools
· A confident person with good verbal and written communication skills
· Proficient with MS Office, Excel spreadsheets

Pay: £13.00 per hour
