Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to an elderly disabled person in her home in the BD5 area. It would be preferable that you live in the BD5 area aswell or very local to it as this job involves shift work throughout the day. 4 shifts a day, 1 hour for each shift. The role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and fostering a respectful and caring environment. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support clients in adhering to personalised care plans tailored to their individual needs
- Support clients with medication reminders and health monitoring as required
- Communicate effectively with team members and family members
- Ensure the safety of clients by recognising potential hazards and following health and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication
- Compassionate nature with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings depending on client needs
