At Dragonflies Day Nursery, we believe great leaders create inspiring environments for both children and their teams. If you're an experienced Early Years professional looking for your next step in a supportive, independent nursery, we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Room Leader who can inspire their team, build strong relationships with families, and provide outstanding care and education for our children.
About Us
At Dragonflies, our ethos is simple: Nurture Through Nature.
Set within beautiful grounds next to Knightwood Leisure Centre in Chandlers Ford, we provide a warm, homely environment where children aged 9 months to 5 years are encouraged to explore, discover and develop at their own pace.
We pride ourselves on creating a caring atmosphere where every child feels safe, valued and confident to spread their wings.

- Create an engaging, stimulating and nurturing learning environment.
- Plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
- Monitor children's learning and development, ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
- Build positive partnerships with parents and carers.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times.
- Act as a role model, supporting and mentoring other practitioners.
- Work closely with the management team to continually improve practice across the nursery.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Qualified to a minimum Level 3 in Early Years (essential).
- Experience working within an Early Years setting.
- Confident leading and supporting a team.
- Passionate about delivering outstanding childcare.
- Organised, proactive and positive.
- Caring, enthusiastic and committed to helping children thrive.
- Knowledgeable about the EYFS, safeguarding and child development.
What We Offer
We believe looking after our team is just as important as looking after our children.
Our benefits include:
- Competitive salary.
- Company pension scheme.
- Free flu vaccination.
- Generous paid annual leave.
- Free on-site parking.
- Wellbeing support and initiatives.
- Ongoing training and continuous professional development.
- Career progression opportunities within a growing nursery group.
- Fun, memorable staff celebrations and team events (think clay pigeon shooting, escape rooms, meals out and much more!).
Why Dragonflies?
