Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and production.
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of service.
- Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations at all times.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Lead by example in food presentation, cooking techniques, and overall culinary excellence.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
- Assist in developing new menus and special dishes in collaboration with the culinary team.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment within the kitchen area.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food production, preparation, and cooking.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective team management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or restaurant setting is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
