Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Gas Engineer/Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas and plumbing systems across various commercial and residential sites. Duties
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining gas appliances and plumbing systems in accordance with safety regulations and standards
- Conducting routine inspections to identify potential issues and prevent system failures
- Using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks efficiently
- Performing heavy lifting when handling equipment or materials during installations or repairs
- Troubleshooting mechanical faults within gas and plumbing systems with precision
- Ensuring all work complies with legal requirements and safety protocols
- Assisting in the assembly of new systems or components as required
- Maintaining detailed records of work performed and parts used for each project
- Driving company vehicles to various sites as needed, adhering to commercial driving regulations
Skills
- Proficiency in welding, plumbing, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience in carpentry and assembly work is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and reading technical documents
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving duties
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
