Role Overview
We are looking for an organised, proactive, and reliable Legal Secretary to join our busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous legal secretarial experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing high-quality support to fee earners across a range of legal matters.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department by providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support while delivering excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and formatting legal documents, correspondence, reports, and forms accurately.
- Managing solicitors' diaries, appointments, and meetings.
- Audio and copy typing of legal documentation.
- Opening and maintaining client files in accordance with compliance procedures.
- Handling incoming telephone calls, emails, and client enquiries professionally.
- Filing, scanning, and organising legal documents and case files.
- Liaising with clients, courts, agents, and other third parties.
- Assisting with billing, invoicing, and administrative tasks where required.
- Supporting the wider team to ensure the efficient running of the department.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a law firm.
- Excellent typing and document formatting skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Professional, friendly, and client-focused approach.
Pay: Up to £30,000.00 per year
