Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated SEND Support Worker to provide specialised assistance to a child with special educational needs. The successful candidate will work closely with individuals, supporting their development and ensuring they receive a nurturing and inclusive environment. Duties
- Support children a disabilities, or special educational needs in the nursery
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care and mobility support where necessary
- Foster an inclusive environment that promotes learning, socialisation, and emotional well-being
- Use effective communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues
- Help organise and facilitate activities tailored to each child's needs
- Monitor and record progress, behaviour, and any concerns to inform ongoing support strategies
- Contribute to behaviour management plans and promote positive behaviour strategies
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Prior teaching or support experience within special education settings is advantageous
- Experience working with children across various age groups, including pre schoolers
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
- Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) frameworks and behaviour management techniques
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support children's development and well-being
- Ability to work flexibly within a team environment and adapt to individual needs

Pay: £16,643.60 per year
