Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties when required, adhering to food safety standards
- Handle guest queries professionally, resolving any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Process payments accurately and efficiently at the end of each service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations is advantageous
- Culinary experience or background in food service enhances performance
- Effective time management to serve multiple tables efficiently
- Upselling skills to promote menu items and increase sales potential
