Part-Time Barista / Café Team Member
The Cottage Café & Lifestyle Store – Merrow
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and experienced Barista / Café Team Member to join our small, independent café in Merrow, starting in September.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment. As a small team, you’ll be expected to work across all areas of the café, including coffee making, food preparation and customer service.
Job Details:
- Part-time, flexible hours (including weekends)
- Start date: September
- Shifts begin 30 minutes before opening and finish 30 minutes after closing
- Pay: National Minimum Wage (dependent on age)
- Monday, Thursday and weekends currently required (this may change, so flexibility is essential)
Opening Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Saturday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
- Sunday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Preparing high-quality coffee and drinks
- Preparing fresh food to order
- Taking orders and handling payments
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
- Following food hygiene and safety standards
Requirements:
- Previous barista experience is essential
- Food preparation experience is preferred
- Friendly, positive and reliable
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible and available to work weekends
