Assistant Manager – Haar St Andrews
Haar St Andrews is a multi-award-winning restaurant in the heart of St Andrews, recognised with 4 AA Rosettes and a strong reputation for exceptional food, wine and service.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Manager to join our front-of-house team and play a key role in maintaining the high standards that Haar is known for.
Working closely with the General Manager and senior management team, you will help lead the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, ensuring consistently excellent service and creating a positive environment for both guests and the wider team.
The Role
- Support the General Manager with the daily running of Haar St Andrews
- Lead and motivate the front-of-house team during service
- Maintain our high standards of food, wine and hospitality
- Deliver warm, knowledgeable and professional guest experiences
- Assist with training, development and performance management of the team
- Take responsibility for the smooth running of service in the absence of senior management
- Support with rotas, stock control, ordering and other operational duties
- Build strong relationships with guests and encourage repeat business
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service
- Lead by example and contribute to a positive working environment
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a high-quality restaurant or hospitality environment
- Confident leading a team and running a busy service
- Passionate about food, wine and exceptional hospitality
- Professional, organised and calm under pressure
- A strong communicator with excellent attention to detail
- Naturally warm and engaging with guests
- Keen to develop their career within a growing restaurant group
- Comfortable working within a Michelin Guide and 4 AA Rosette-level environment
