Duties
- Prepare and cook dishes within your designated section, maintaining consistency and presentation standards
- Oversee the food preparation process, ensuring timely delivery of orders during busy service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation in compliance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal preparation and ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist in training junior staff and interns, sharing your culinary knowledge and techniques
- Monitor inventory levels for your section, notifying management of stock shortages or reorder needs
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and adheres to health and safety guidelines
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar kitchen role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety protocols
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
- Prior experience in restaurant service or serving is a plus but not mandatory
