Workshop Supervisor / Foreman / Controller - OFF THE TOOLS
Hours: Monday – Friday (Days)
Full time, permanent
Earning Potential – Salary:
£45,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate (if productive)
Overview
Take charge of a busy workshop in Warrington – leading 18 technicians and 2 apprentices. This is a hands-off leadership role with the option to get productive if you want. If you've got the technical know-how and the people skills to keep a workshop running at full pace, this is the one.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and managing a team of 18 technicians and 2 apprentices
- Providing technical support and guidance to the workshop team
- Ensuring work is completed to manufacturer and DVSA standards
- Managing workshop workflow and allocating jobs efficiently
- Maintaining health and safety standards across the workshop
- Supporting the Service Manager with daily operations
- Assisting with diagnostics and technical queries where required
- Option to be productive if desired – not mandatory
What You'll Need
- Proven experience leading teams of technicians in a workshop environment
- Strong technical knowledge of HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Level 3 qualified (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI) in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
- Ability to provide technical support and guidance to a large team
- Organised, methodical, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Full UK driving licence – HGV licence beneficial
