About Coalhouse
Coalhouse is an independent restaurant in the heart of Cheltenham, offering a relaxed, stylish dining experience built around great food, great drinks and excellent hospitality.
We’re looking for an experienced Bartender to join our team and help create the kind of experience that makes guests want to return.
The Role
You’ll be an important part of the guest experience, creating beautifully presented drinks while working closely with our front-of-house and kitchen teams.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Preparing cocktails, wine, beer and spirits to a high standard
- Offering friendly, knowledgeable drink recommendations
- Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked bar
- Preparing the bar for service and keeping it running smoothly
- Coordinating drinks with food service
- Providing warm, professional service throughout the guest experience
- Working efficiently and calmly during busy services
- Following licensing, hygiene and responsible service requirements
About You
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and takes pride in their work.
You will need previous bar and cocktail bar experience and be:
- Confident and knowledgeable about drinks
- Friendly, personable and professional
- Well organised and calm under pressure
- Passionate about excellent service
- A reliable team player
- Available for evening and weekend shifts
- Coalhouse is part of the JMSocials restaurant group.
Personality is key. We want someone who can make guests feel welcome, understands great hospitality and takes pride in representing Coalhouse.
