Pegasus Staff Services are looking for HGV Class 2 drivers for ongoing, regular work in the Alfreton area.
Some permanent vacancies will become available but it will be ongoing, regular shifts Monday to Friday.
Some weekend work will be available but not essential.
Start times will be between 0500 and 0800 daily
Hourly rate is £15.00 PAYE or £16.92 PAYE including holiday
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating C2 vehicles to deliver goods efficiently and reliably. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills, with an emphasis on commercial driving experience. The ideal applicant will be organised, responsible, and committed to providing outstanding service.
Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV lorry, ensuring adherence to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload goods as required, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining safety standards.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys to identify any maintenance issues or safety concerns.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC & Digi Cards. (No more than 6 points for insurance purposes)
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with C2 vehicles.
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and customer service.
