Accounts Assistant
HOURS: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, ideally between 10:00am and 2:00pm
SALARY: Pro rata salary of £13,750 for 20 hours per week
About the Role
PPC Management is a newly formed, Sheffield-based property and construction management company. We are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join our small team and support our Finance Manager with day-to-day accounting tasks.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to work alongside the Finance Manager and provide accounts support across a range of financial and administrative duties.
This role would suit a candidate with previous accounts experience, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, confidence using Excel and Sage Line 50, and excellent customer service skills. A keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively are also essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Input customer receipts into Sage for multiple client companies
- Add purchase ledger invoices into Sage for multiple client companies
- Reconcile bank accounts within Sage for multiple client companies
- Update Excel cost trackers for multiple client companies
- Post weekly payment runs in Sage
- Carry out credit control activities for multiple client companies
- Assist with issuing service charge, ground rent, annual budget packs, and year-end accounts to leaseholders
- Monitor and respond to email enquiries
- Maintain and organise accounts office files, documents, and records accurately
- Assist with arranging utility contracts, tracking usage and checking bills
- Updating client contact and correspondence records
Skills and Experience
- At least 1 year’s experience in an accounts role (essential)
- Experience of reconciling bank accounts (essential)
- Ability to work independently and manage time and workload effectively (essential)
- Competent in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook (essential)
- Experience using Sage Line 50 (preferred)
- Excellent numerical, written, and verbal communication skills (essential)
- Professional and confident telephone manner (essential)
- GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths and English, or equivalent (essential)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy (essential)
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally by email (essential)
Pay: £27,500.00 per year
